Cactus Toothpick holder

Instructions Hardware Filaments

The Cactus Toothpick Holder - Intermediate This one took me soo many attempts to get working right, but its finally done!

Everyone loves cactuses. Cacti? So i made one into a toothpick holder. It has a built in spring so the spines stick out when you push it down! (If needed, use the Brim print setting to secure the spring if it isn't sticking to the build plate)

These are excellent for storing your toothpicks. They're great for when you host parties and have fruit or meat and cheese boards too!

These work with standard round toothpicks. I just picked up a pack of 500 of them for super cheap from walmart. This cactus takes 117 toothpicks total.

I used a standard 4 inch Terracotta nursery pot for mine. But I included a file to print the pot if you'd like.

Love this print! Just waiting on the spring now. I love how the fuzzy skin came out on the pot
Loved this print. Used this as an opportunity to learn about Fuzzy skin for the pot. Came out great.

This is awesome. Had fun assembling it, filling it and using it. Kids now only want to use toothpicks for fruit "because it is so fun". Great design and good quality print.

Printed perfectly the first time. When I press the cactus, some toothpicks fly off, not sure if it is by design or just a fun quirk 😂
I used 4 inch terracotta pot as a base and the printed "dirt" did not fit perfectly. I wonder if I can add something to make it more stable.
Overall 5/5 print.
Here’s my take of this print on a picnic, with a desert twist. I hope you like it!
This make is always a hit with guests!
I love the spring mechanism.

Cactus printed in Eryone Matte PLA. Pot by LoftedGoods and printed in Bambu Lab Matte Latte Brown.
People love these! It's an eyecatcher when putting it next to snacks during a party.

On the left pot, I used the Fuzzy setting on my X1C. You can't see any layer lines, and I think it looks great. I used .3 and .3 for the settings with all walls.

(I had to cut the cactus in bambustudio - it worked without any problems.
Amazing! The hardest part was finding the fully round toothpicks ;-)
Printed fine with a .6 nozzle in PolyTerra PLA (Muted Green, Cappuccino, Muted Red). The spring is a little loose, so the travel is limited. Will reprint that with some adjustments to make it a bit firmer or longer.
